We have decades of experience in business operations and management, and in successfully bringing a start-up to IPO in a short time frame.  

The idea for Greene Lyon came out of our electronics manufacturing experience, and we have pursued this idea relentlessly – and successfully – for the last 10 years.

+ Dale R. Johnson, President/CEO

Mr. Johnson has experience as a lawyer and then business executive since 1973, including experience with start-up companies and various segments of the electronics industry.

Prior to founding Greene Lyon, he was Co-Founder, CEO, and President of MaSeR Corporation, a materials processing company for the electronics recycling industry. Before MaSeR, Mr. Johnson was a member of the start-up team and EVP of Manufacturers’ Services Ltd. (“MSL”), a global provider of electronics manufacturing services. He helped grow MSL to $1+ billion in annual revenue and execute a successful IPO in less than six years.

Mr. Johnson practiced law in Boston for over 22 years. His practice focused on international corporate and tax matters, including multinational operations, acquisitions and investments, offshore investment funds, and cross-border technology transfers.

Mr. Johnson holds the following degrees: LL.M. (Taxation) from Boston University School of Law (1976); J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School (1973), where he was a member of the Minnesota Law Review; and B.A., magna cum laude, with Departmental Honors in Political Science, from Macalester College (1969), where he was a National Merit Scholar.

+ John Walshe, Vice President Operations

Mr. Walshe has been involved in business operations and information systems management for both global enterprises and start-up companies since 1974.

Prior to joining Greene Lyon Group, he was responsible for supply chain management activities, including demand/supply management, procurement, and inventory management for Sun Microsystems.

Before that, he acted as interim COO for a number of companies on behalf of VC investors and was also a member of the start-up team for MSL where he held the positions of CIO and VP of Customer Program Management. Prior to MSL, Mr. Walshe was Principal Consultant with Computer Science Corporation, providing best practice supply chain consulting to Fortune 500 companies.

+ Dr. Michael B. Mooiman, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Mooiman has spent most of his career in the process chemistry and metallurgy industries, starting as a gold miner in South Africa and ultimately serving as VP Production and General Manager/CEO for Metalor Technologies USA, one of the largest precious metal companies and refiners in the U.S.

He has published over 30 academic papers in these fields, and he holds two U.S. patents for precious metal recovery. Dr. Mooiman is the President of Argo Advisors International, a consultancy and engineering company focusing on process design, material recycling, and energy projects.

When he is not consulting, he is an Associate Professor in the MBA program at Franklin Pierce University, New Hampshire. At Franklin Pierce, Dr. Mooiman is the academic coordinator and originator of their MBA in Energy and Sustainability Studies. He is a member of the Mineral, Metals and Material Society and a Board Member of the New England Chapter of the International Precious Metals Institute. During the summer of 2009, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. In 2015, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for energy studies in Botswana.

Dr. Mooiman has an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Witwatersrand (1980), an MBA from Northeastern University (1996), and a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah (1984).


+ Dr. Conor Dullaghan, Independent Precious Metals Consultant

Dr. Dullaghan has extensive experience in multiple aspects of the precious metals industry, including R&D, sales and marketing, and general management.

Until mid-2017, he served as President of Elemetal Refining, one of the largest gold and silver refineries in the United States. Prior to joining Ohio Precious Metals/Elemetal Refining in late 2011, he was Advanced Coatings Division Manager and then Refining Sales and Marketing Manager at Metalor Technologies USA Corp., the North American refining operation for Metalor Technologies International SA, one of the world’s largest precious metal refiners.

Dr. Dullaghan has published numerous papers and a book chapter in the field, and his works have been cited hundreds of times. He holds multiple U.S. and international patents. Dr. Dullaghan received his B.Sc. (HONS) in Science with Business from Ulster University (Ireland) (1994) and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Brown University (1998).
